If you ask most women the question, “Would you like to be a millionaire?” the vast majority of them would raise their hands and say yes. The reality is that there is a big gap between the number of people who want to become millionaires and the number who actually become millions. In the United States less than 9 percent of the population are millionaires. Of that 9 percent, only a small fraction are women. While most women claim that they want to earn more money, few of them are willing to change their lives to do it. The truth is, you can’t be an underearner and be on track to make millions.
What separates the women who become millionaires from the women who don’t make it?— It’s decision.
You’re probably scratching your head. Yes decision is the key factor that separates millionaires for non-millionaires. Decision is also what distinguishes women with high incomes from women who are underearners. You have to first decide that you want to earn more money. You have to believe it’s a real possibility for your life. Then you have to ready and willing to step into new situations that will move you toward your goal.
Most women get stuck because they won’t decide that they want to make more money. Saying, “It would be nice, one day to make $100,000″ isn’t the same as saying, “I’m going to make a $100,000 next year, hell or high water.” The former is a vague wish, the latter is an energized intention.
Once you decide that you are going to earn $100,000 you begin to think of ways to make it happen: ask for a raise, get a promotion, change jobs or go back to school. If you’re a solopreneur you’d realize that you need to make $8,500 per month. That equates into 15 clients paying you $567.00 per month or 8 clients paying $1,000 per month for your product or service. It’s roughly $283.00 per day that you need to earn in your business.
Deciding that you’re going to earn more money doesn’t require that you immediately have all of the answers.
It doesn’t require that you have a solid plan. What it requires you believe that you’re enough, right now, to earn $100,000. It also requires that you’re willing to be uncomfortable as you transition from being an underearner to a high income earner. It requires that you have a coach or mentor to guide you along the way.
